Veryst provides services in product design, manufacturing processes, and failure analysis. Dr. Liu is an expert in nonlinear simulation and finite element analysis and has been delivering solutions to challenging engineering problems in various industries including automobile, aerospace, civil, energy and consumer products. Dr. Liu’s areas of expertise include analysis and computational modeling of dynamic events. He has extensive experience in a wide range of problems, from analysis of complex bridge structures under seismic excitation to simulation of drop tests of cell phones. Dr. Liu also has expertise in the design and analysis of multi-component structures, including reinforced structures and composite materials. Dr. Liu is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of California.
Prior to joining Veryst Engineering, Dr. Liu worked at SIMULIA, the Dassault Systèmes brand for Realistic Simulation and the producer of the finite element software Abaqus. There he performed advanced numerical simulations to customers from many industries. Before SIMULIA, Dr. Liu worked for T. Y. Lin International, an internationally recognized civil and structural engineering firm. He performed computer analysis on long-span bridges, including the new San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge, which upon completion will become the world’s longest single-tower, self-anchored suspension bridge.
