Simulation of needle coring in an elastomer, a combination product work example from Veryst's PODD Conference 2026 talk

Please join us at the Partnership Opportunities in Drug Delivery (PODD) Conference 2026 in Boston!

Stop by Booth 609 at the conference to talk with us about how we can support your product and process development with multiphysics simulation, failure analysis, material modeling and testing, and materials engineering.

Our Talk at the PODD Conference 2026

We’ll present “Accelerating Combination Product Development with Multiphysics Simulation and Specialized Testing.” In this talk, Dr. Matthew Hancock and Dr. Sean Teller will discuss:

  • Multiphysics simulations enable faster design iterations while reducing business and patient risk when paired with product testing and analysis.
  • Combination product design verification via simulation and testing can support regulatory submissions and increase the probability of success of pre-clinical trials.
  • Work examples from our biopharma and MedTech partnerships to demonstrate how we apply our specialized subject matter expertise to find meaningful solutions to problems and challenges, decreasing time-to-market and expanding product differentiation.

The talk will take place Thursday, October 29 (Day 1) at 5:00pm as part of Track 3B: Novel Device Technologies.

Meet Veryst at Booth 609

Veryst Engineering is the premier engineering consulting firm for companies that need certainty. Your products, processes, and technologies must work in the real world. Our expertise spans multiphysics, mechanics, materials science, and practical engineering.

Our state-of-the-art mechanical test lab and industry-leading simulation tools let us validate and troubleshoot models under realistic conditions. We understand product physics at a deep level. We know not just that something works, but why and how. That lets us deliver answers quickly, so you can get to market faster.

A small, elite team, we’ve become the go-to firm for some of the world’s best-known global brands. At the PODD Conference 2026, we’d welcome the chance to talk through your current development challenges, such as:

  • Fluid mechanics and formulation rheology, including needle clogging and injectability, vial filling, lyophilization, and drug product reconstitution
  • Multiphysics simulation for combination products, including autoinjectors, prefilled syringes, cartridges, and needle-free and smart-pill delivery
  • Material testing and modeling, including high-rate and custom testing with digital image correlation to calibrate simulation models
  • Structural analysis, failure analysis, and materials engineering

Published Work and Modeling Tools

We developed a validated modeling framework for dual-chamber cartridge autoinjectors with Merck & Co., Inc. (Drug Delivery and Translational Research, 2025). We packaged this framework as a modeling app, which shows in seconds how parameter changes affect injection time, diluent volume, and stopper motion. We also studied needle-shield coring in prefilled syringes (PDA Journal of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology, 2025). Ask us about these at the booth.

Whether you’re early in device development or preparing for verification testing and regulatory submission, bring your questions to Booth 609. We transfer all methods, models, and data to our clients. Our clients own the IP generated as part of our engagements.

To schedule time with us at the PODD Conference 2026, contact us or email Matt Hancock or Sean Teller.
