Veryst Engineering, in collaboration with Nordson EFD, published an article in the 2012 COMSOL News magazine titled "Modeling of Laminar Flow Static Mixers." The article describes a new algorithm for evaluating mixing quality in static mixers. The algorithm uses CFD simulation, particle tracing and image processing algorithms, and was validated against experimental testing. It provides a valuable design tool for understanding the flow patterns inside static mixers. To read the article, click here.
