Veryst’s mechanical testing capabilities have been developed over the past decade and are motivated by the need for high quality data to characterize complex polymer behavior. We tailor our test programs based on our deep understanding of polymer and material mechanics and the challenges complex material behaviors create for accurate simulations. We recognize that many materials and in-service conditions require testing for which standards or well-documented procedures do not yet exist. As a result, we have developed the expertise and infrastructure to design and implement customized testing solutions.
Veryst offers a wide range of services to characterize fully the material behavior relevant to your material and problem, including:
- High quality test data and analysis
- Custom test programs
- Custom tests, geometries, and fixtures
- Testing for inverse calibration methods
- Material model validation in multiaxial load cases
- Standard tests (ASTM, ISO, etc.) on universal test frames
- Decades of combined experience testing and calibrating material models
Veryst can also calibrate parameters for nearly any constitutive model available in commercial finite element codes.
Ideally, calibrated material models should be validated using a separate set of experiments designed to match the loading environment. Veryst’s extensive background in polymer mechanics and finite element simulation also provides an ideal platform for verification and validation using standard and custom testing results.
Veryst can also assist with specimen preparation, creating standard and non-standard test specimens. We have made specimens by conventional machining, waterjet machining, casting, and injection molding.
