Dr. Mark Oliver offered a presentation on “Optimizing Additively Manufactured Parts for Adhesive Assembly” at the 43rd Annual Meeting of the Adhesion Society, which took place on February 23-26, 2020 in Charleston, South Carolina. Dr. Oliver addressed how topology optimization can be used to maximize the mechanical performance of an adhesive joint and how cohesive zone modeling can be used to validate generated designs.
