Dr. Jorgen Bergstrom spoke in a webinar titled "The Importance of Material Model Calibration for Structural FEA." Structural mechanics simulations often use nonlinear material models that need to be calibrated to experimental data. COMSOL supports numerous hyperelastic, linear viscoelastic, and viscoplastic material models. In this webinar, the speakers demonstrated how easily these material models can be calibrated and used in FE simulations. They also covered what type of experimental data is required and illustrated how to select a proper material model in order to get accurate results from the analysis.
