Veryst Engineering is currently seeking a full-time Mechanical Engineer for projects involving product development and failure analysis. Responsibilities include engineering analysis, testing, design, and prototyping. Representative projects include finite element analysis of medical devices, flow simulation of heating systems, and mechanical testing of advanced polymers. Bachelor or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, with 2 years minimum industrial experience with Solidworks and engineering design important. Strong academic record and references required. Experience with MATLAB, flow simulation, and finite element analysis desirable. Will collaborate with other engineers on a range of engineering projects that require strong understanding of engineering fundamentals. Should have demonstrated ability to communicate technical content well, analyze multi-faceted problems, and be able to work well both self-directed and within a team.
Responsibilities will include:
- Mechanical engineering design
- Use of CAD and simulation software (Solidworks, Abaqus, COMSOL, other CFD, etc.)
- Coordination of prototype manufacture
- Design, setup, and performance of experiments using data acquisition hardware
- Document review and summarizing
- Project management and report writing
