David C. Robson

David Robson has concentrated on engineering and development for his entire career. His primary focus has been the medical device field where his experiences have ranged from micro-interventional instruments to surgical robotic systems, from home-based therapies to sterile products used in the operating room.

In addition to holding senior level positions at several OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) of medical devices, Mr. Robson spent 17 years at Ximedica, where his role evolved from program management to client management, proposal generation, and business development. During his tenure, the company grew from 24 to more than 200 employees and its client base likewise grew to include many of the top 100 medical device companies in the world. Through all of this work, he has developed deep insight and skill in interacting with companies interested in out-sourcing specialized engineering services.

Mr. Robson is currently part of the leadership team at Iantrek, Inc., which develops and manufactures medical devices, concentrating on micro-interventional glaucoma surgery (MIGS). As the company has grown and entered the commercial phase, his role has evolved from being a founding employee and interim Chief Operating Officer to leading product development and quality compliance activities.
