Mixing and Chemical Reactions: Fundamentals and Computational Modeling
Free, One-hour Webinar
The coupling of mixing and chemical reactions is at the heart of many industrial processes, particularly in chemical manufacturing, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology, and energy applications. It can influence process yield and efficiency, product quality, and safety. This webinar offers a comprehensive overview of the fundamental principles governing mixing and chemical reactions, including mass and energy transport, reaction kinetics, turbulence, and the interplay between fluid mixing and chemical phenomena. The session will also delve into the application of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) for simulating and optimizing mixing and reacting flows. Case studies will illustrate strategies for modeling mixing-sensitive reactions and interpreting CFD results to guide process design and scale-up. Designed for engineers, scientists, and technical professionals, this webinar provides actionable insights and practical guidance for leveraging both foundational knowledge and modern simulation tools to enhance chemical process performance.
