Veryst is proud to have been a Gold Sponsor of COMSOL Conference 2018 Boston. Veryst engineers presented a workshop, moderated a panel discussion, and more.
Veryst’s new "In the Test Lab" webinar series focuses on polymer mechanics and experimental testing and features various experimental methods, test systems, and more. The first three webinars are now open for registration.
Dr. Stuart Brown attended the ASTM Medical Device Committee (F04) meeting in Tampa, Florida, November 16-17, 2011. He participated in subcommittee meetings involved in standard development on absorbable polymers, PEEK, tissue-engineering medical products (TEMPS) and orthopaedic devices.
Dr. Jorgen Bergstrom discussed “Advanced Material Models for Rubbers, Thermoplastics, and Composites” as a keynote speaker at this event in Lund, Sweden.
Dr. Sean Teller offered an on-demand presentation titled "Tensile Specimen Preparation Method Impacting Failure Behavior" at ANTEC Classic 2021, which took place online May 10-21, 2021. He discussed his investigation of the effect of the sample creation process on the results from standard tensile tests.
Dr. Mark Oliver spoke about “Preventing Failure of Polymeric Additively Manufactured Parts Through Testing and Simulation” at the Rapid + TCT conference.
Dr. Sean Teller spoke about "Methods for Impact Testing of Thermoplastic Elastomers and Elastomers" at the Thermoplastic Elastomers Conference 2018. He discussed the need for high-strain rate testing of elastomers and TPEs, as well as test methods.
Dr. Jorgen Bergstrom was co-author (in collaboration with Maureen Dreher and Srinidhi Nagaraja of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration) of two presentations given at the 10th World Biomaterials Congress,
Dr. Sean Teller presented "Advanced Testing and Material Modeling of Polymers" at NAFEMS Americas Regional Conference 2022 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He discussed advanced mechanical characterization techniques, test methods, and state-of-the art material modelling tools.
Dr. Sean Teller spoke about "Impact Testing and Modeling of Energy Absorbing Foams for Finite Element Simulation" at the Foam Expo 2017. His presentation focused on high strain-rate testing and modeling of foams for use in finite element simulations.
Dr. Sean Teller discussed "Utilizing Test Data from DIC for Polymer Material Modeling," describing the information an engineer can extract with Digital Image Correlation and how best to use full field strain data. The presentation took place on the fourth day of NAFEMS World Congress 2021, which was fully online this year.
Dr. Sean Teller and Dr. Mark Oliver presented at ANTEC 2017. Dr. Teller’s presentation was titled “High Strain Rate Testing and Modeling of Polymers for Use in Finite Element Simulations.” Dr. Oliver’s presentation was titled “Testing and Modeling Anisotropic Failure of Polymeric SLS Materials and Structures.”
Dr. Sean Teller spoke about “A New High Strain-Rate Biaxial Experiment to Validate Constitutive Models for Polymers” and about “Fracture Testing and Cohesive Zone Modeling of Automotive Adhesives” at ASME IMECE.
