Simulation and Analysis

Veryst provides expertise in many aspects of simulation and analysis. This includes modeling and analysis involving polymer materials, multiphysics modeling, finite element analysis, computational fluid dynamics and system modeling. Our modeling efforts are always coupled with validation and verification.

We especially focus on coupled and nonlinear systems. We have software partnerships with SIMULIA, COMSOL and ANSYS. We also extensively use MATLAB and Simulink for modeling, control, data analysis and visualization applications.

Polymer Analysis

Modeling the mechanical behavior of polymers includes elastomers, thermoplastics, thermosets, foam, and biological materials. Polymer behavior is typically nonlinear, rate-dependent and temperature-dependent. We develop specific models for polymers and use them in accurate finite element models including contact, large deformations, fracture and fatigue.

Multiphysics Modeling

Accurate simulation of many products now requires a multiphysics approach. Veryst Engineering specializes in multiphysics problems involving solids, fluids, heat transfer, mass transfer, acoustics and electromagnetics.

Finite Element Analysis

Veryst Engineering advances knowledge in finite element methods including theory, algorithm development, commercial implementation, model validation and verification. Some of our staff previously worked in finite element firms and have extensive publications in this field.

Computational Fluid Dynamics

Our CFD experience spans a wide range of fluid dynamics problems including laminar and turbulent flow, Newtonian, shear thinning and shear thickening fluids, multiphase flows including phase change, film lubrication and microfluidics.
